Conditional Access & Tenant Settings
Conditional access policies and tenant settings are among the most complex and time-consuming configurations in any identity environment. They define how access is granted, under what conditions, and to whom — and they often take significant effort to build, test, and refine over time.
What Kasca will back up
Kasca is currently adding support for backing up conditional access policies and tenant-level settings. Once available, this will include the full configuration of your access policies and the broader settings that govern your identity environment — giving you a complete picture of your platform at any point in time.
Why this matters
A misconfigured or accidentally deleted conditional access policy can have immediate and serious consequences — locking users out, opening unintended access paths, or breaking compliance requirements. Without a backup, reconstructing a complex policy from memory or incomplete documentation is slow, error-prone, and stressful.
Microsoft currently retains up to 5 days of policy history — useful for catching recent changes, but insufficient when you need to compare against an older baseline or recover a configuration that was quietly modified weeks ago. Kasca retains your policy snapshots for as long as your storage allows, giving you the ability to look back further and compare configurations across time.
Current status
Support for conditional access policies and tenant settings is currently in development and will be available in an upcoming release. Customers on the beta program will be among the first to access this feature.
